This is the finished table (minus the 6’ 9” glass top).
It was picked up for delivery today! I can’t wait to see it with the top on it. Super happy with how this came out, despite the blood, sweat, and tears (quite literally all of those).
I was commissioned to make a table base for a 5.5 ft. diameter glass table top. Here it is in progress.
Here is a close-up of the work I did. I hand-painted all that lettering, plus the luchador mask. The mask was part of La Esquina’s logo already, but I tried to take it and use it in a more dynamic way. The goal with the colors/painting was to give the label a feeling more like an old painted sign.
I think we went through something like 28, 29 iterations to get everything the way we wanted. That definitely tried my patience, but it was worth it because I’m really happy with how it came out!

After having eaten many jars of this, I can say that I really do like this salsa. It’s quite different from any other salsa you can buy in the stores. It’s flavorful, thin enough not to break your chips, but thick enough to not be too liquidy. I love it! My recommendation: cut an avocado in half, fill the inner bit where the seed used to be with the salsa, then eat it all.
