A better photo of my most recent painting.
I finished this painting today!
It’s about 1.5’ x 4’. Charcoal, oil stick, acrylic, & mystery paint on found wood.
Ink, acrylic, crayon in a Moleskine sketchbook (#14)
Charcoal, oil pastel, and acrylic on found wood (wood had writing on it already). ~1 ft x 3 ft.
When my wife saw this she said “That’s repulsive.”
A painting I finished yesterday in my cold-sick state. Sniffle sniffle excited sniffle.
Pencil, spray paint, oil paint stick, oil pastel, marker, acrylic paint, crayon, collage on found wood.
This is my most recent painting!
~2ft x 3.5ft. Acrylic, collage, photographs, marker, oil paint stick, oil pastel, spray paint, pencil on found wood.
For context, the center photograph is one that I took of my dad’s house after hurricane Katrina (as with the last painting).
With these past two paintings, I’ve been kind of exploring the idea of painting as comic. Or comic as painting. More generally, the use of time/time manipulation in a painting.
One of two paintings I finished today. A productive Sunday, despite the lack of sleep!
